You are now entering a No Airy zone...
Welcome to the No Airy blog: a place for casual and critical discussions about the NBA and other stuff. Alright it's mostly a place for us to call out people and teams for being airy but go ahead and feel free to comment and discuss your own opinions if you don't think what you have to say is airy. We don't tolerate airy. The word airy is used to describe something or somewhere that is acceptable to a point but nowhere near the highest quality of its peers. It basically means 'not good.' It can be used in all aspects of life. Like "dam, when's my car gonna get out of the shop? this bus ride is airy." or a 15 minute meeting at work that turns into an hour of useless information you'll never need to know. a meeting may be necessary but at some point it just becomes airy. or how about girl that's a 5 or a 6. I mean they're acceptable to a point(a point somewhere past 5 or 6 drinks), but overall...airy. We're going to be talking more hoops. Like what's up with reggie miller commenting on Lebron James' signature chase-down blocks last night during the Nugs/Cavs game. Reggie, that's airy. I'm pretty sure tayshaun prince banned you from talking about those type of blocks forever. He needs to learn more about successful sports commentating from Jeff Van Gundy. There are too many good things to write about JVG but one great example is how although he is working for a specific network that is responsible for choosing what games to air on national television, he openly endorses and encourages the idea for the fans to vote for what games are televised and is highly critical if the network chooses to televise a game with airy teams playing. He embraces his connection with the fans and enjoys the game as if he were watching it with some friends with small doses of basketball knowledge thrown in. He does not over saturate the game with meaningless comments about situations he has no familiarity with. at least Van Gundy's meaningless comments are intended for comedy. So come on, Reggie, when it comes to commentating let's keep it real from now on. Just don't let keeping it real go wrong again...at least not around cameras. NO AIRY!
